Welcome to the Faculty Portal Page!
The Access Center introduced a new accommodation management system in the summer of 2016. Over the 2016/17 academic year, we were able to refine this system to improve the efficiency and efficacy of providing accommodations for students with disabilities and chronic medical conditions.
Just this past summer, we softly rolled out the new Faculty Portal and will be rolling it out in full for the Fall of 2017. This portal is designed to give instructors more access to information and make the process of serving students with disabilities easier and more efficient.
Faculty who used it during the summer found it useful.
As with any new system, user feedback is of the utmost importance, and we encourage you to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or constructive criticisms.
The faculty portal is, in general, voluntary, and faculty are more than welcome to continue using the processes from last academic year, but we hope you will try it at least once.
Below are a series of quick video tutorials for the portal. They cover everything you’ll see in the portal as well as address a few common questions you may have.
Additionally, we will be attempting to visit each department over the next year to go over some of the changes we’ve implemented, answer questions and concerns, and garner in-person feedback on our processes. If you would like to be one of the first departments we visit, please let us know and we will begin coordinating this ASAP.
As always, thank you for your assistance in promoting access and inclusion for all students. We appreciate the time and effort you put in for your students and look forward to our continued partnership.
