Classroom Access

Access into the classroom:

Most buildings on campus have accessible entrances and have elevators.  It is suggested that students investigate where the most appropriate entrance is.  In older buildings, the elevator is often not located near the main entrance.

If one of your classes is held in an inaccessible building, contact the Access Center and we will work with the Registrar’s office to relocate the class.

Specialized furniture:

Specialized furniture and placement of furniture is a reasonable accommodation for students with mobility challenges or certain physical conditions.

Examples of Specialized furniture:

Adjustable table
Adjustable chair
Padded chairs
Large chairs

Examples of furniture placement:

Near the front or back of the class
Near an entrance or exit

If you need specialized furniture or classroom access, please speak to an Access Advisor.
